The Therapeutic Benefits of Goats
Research indicates that interaction with therapy animals can temporarily affect the release of various neurotransmitters in the brain; levels of oxytocin (linked with bonding) and dopamine (involved in the reward-motivation system) are increased, while cortisol levels (an immunosuppressant associated with stress) are decreased. All of which are very beneficial to the patients. The simple act of petting animals releases an automatic relaxation response.
(Also called Sound Healing) are part meditative, part listening exercise, that are healing experiences that allow participants to relax and focus while healing musical performances are played with Himalayan singing bowls, crystal bowls, gongs, etc. These tonal vibrations are placed on and around the body reaching into you at a cellular level. The body absorbs the harmonic frequencies and is nourished by them. Sound is not only heard through the ears but it is felt with every sense of our being on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level.
Participants sit or lay on the ground while letting the waves of sound wash over them. A technique that goes beyond relaxation and stimulates healing.
